Nosakhari x Tega Akinola: Modern Circuit at London Fashion Week

At London Fashion Week, Nosakhari unveils Modern Circuit, a limited-edition collaboration with multidisciplinary artist-designer Tega Akinola that repositions the leather handbag as both object and artefact.

The collection centres on the Butler — a signature Nosakhari silhouette conceived in 2022 by Art Director Tejumola Butler Adenuga — reconstructed through Akinola’s sculptural wire language. Structured leather panels intersect with exposed bends, joins and tension points, making construction the defining surface.

Modern Circuit reframes the handbag not as accessory, but as infrastructure.

Leather and wire meet in deliberate tension — weight against lightness, permanence against flux. Rather than conceal process, the collection foregrounds it. The result is architectural: something built, not merely styled.

Each piece is handcrafted in Nosakhari’s Hackney atelier using repurposed leather offcuts. Designed to resonate across gender, the capsule sits at the intersection of craft and contemporary sculpture.

“For us, this collaboration signals a new chapter,” says Founder and Creative Director Nosa Osadolor. “It challenged our understanding of structure and form while deepening our commitment to intentional design.”

“Modern Circuit explores perspective and the layered tensions of contemporary society,” says Tega Akinola. “Reinterpreting the Butler allowed us to merge our material sensibilities in a way that feels both raw and refined.”

The collection debuts at 228 Brick Lane on 19 February, with a private view that evening. Limited quantities will be available for pre-order online.
