Aleesha Nandhra – Strokes of Brilliance

We sat down with London-based illustrator and printmaker Aleesha Nandhra. Known for her evocative and vibrant artwork, Aleesha’s compelling work has captured the attention of major clients like Google, The LA Times, and The Barbican, and she has been shortlisted for The World Illustration Awards. 

From her early days growing up in a lively family, Aleesha was surrounded by rich cultural imagery that fuelled her passion for storytelling through art. 

After earning her degree in illustration from the Cambridge School of Art, she juggled multiple jobs while determined to make her dream a reality. Despite the challenges, Aleesha spent countless hours creating and refining her work, all while reaching out to potential clients and art directors. Her relentless drive never wavered as she devoted herself to her craft, often working tirelessly and creatively networking to showcase her talent. 

Her art continues to explore themes of nature, culture, and the intricacies of everyday life, illustrating her unwavering commitment to visual storytelling and her remarkable journey of perseverance.
